Welcome to Pylee! Get started using Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers across all your applications with our universal registry. This guide will walk you through creating your account, setting up your first registry, and connecting your AI tools.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

• An active internet connection
• Access to your preferred AI interface (Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, etc.)
• Basic understanding of MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers

Quick Start

1. Create Your Account

   Visit pyleeai.com and click “Get Started Free”

   No credit card required - you can start using Pylee instantly.

   • Check your email for a verification link and click to activate your account
   • Fill out your basic profile information and team details
2. Create Your First Registry

   Log into your Pylee dashboard and navigate to the “Registries” section.

   Click “New Registry” and provide:

   • Registry name (e.g., “My Team Tools”)
   • Description
   • Access permissions (team members who can use this registry)
   • Visibility settings (private/team/organization)
   • Default permissions and version control options
3. Add Your First MCP Server

   Explore the Pylee marketplace for pre-built MCP servers or add your own custom servers.

   Click “Add Server” and choose from:

   • Public MCP Servers: Community-contributed tools
   • Custom Servers: Your own MCP server configurations
   • API Wrappers: Convert existing APIs to MCP servers

   Set up permissions and access controls for who can use this server.

4. Connect Pylee to your applications

   Follow our Connect to Pylee guide to set up Pylee with your favorite applications, agents, APIs, or command-line tools.

5. Activate a registry

   Start with the community registry to access popular MCP servers right away.

6. Test your setup

   • Verify that your AI interface can see the MCP servers from your Pylee registry
   • Try using one of your MCP servers to ensure everything is working correctly
   • Return to your Pylee dashboard to view usage analytics and logs
